Joe V's Smart Shop

The first Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B outside metro Houston has opened on Wheatland Road in Dallas.

Joe V’s Smart Shop is an H-E-B brand that offers a price-conscious shopping experience and provides customers with popular H-E-B items, such as bakery tortillas, sushiya sushi made in-house daily, Meal Simple chef-inspired meals, fresh-cut fruit, organic selection, fresh in-store baked breads and pastries and fresh in-store cut meat.

“We’re thrilled to open our first Joe V’s Smart Shop in Dallas, allowing us to serve more Texans with our commitment to quality and friendly customer service,” said Roxanne Orsak, H-E-B COO.

“Along with our dedicated partners, we are excited to provide this community an incredible shopping experience with an emphasis on offering the freshest products delivered daily at the lowest prices in the marketplace.”

In honor of the grand opening, it announced gifts of $30,000 to area nonprofits, with $10,000 each going to Harmony Food Pantry & Resource Center in Dallas, Duncanville Independent School District Panther Pantry and Duncanville Outreach Ministries/Food Bank.

Last month, Dallas Independent School District’s McNair Elementary School received a book vending machine stocked with 500 books for elementary-age learners.

The donation is part of an initiative focused on giving a book vending machine to a local school in honor of each Joe V’s opening.

The Wheatland Road store is the first of two planned for the DFW Metroplex. Work began in March on the second store, which will be at 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas. It is expected to open in next spring.

Joe V’s Smart Shop launched in 2010 and has more than 2,000 employees across 10 stores in the Houston area.
