Whitney Atkins will join the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) as its VP of marketing on Nov. 27. She will lead the marketing team responsible for telling the story of the association and driving member engagement.

“I look forward to joining the IDDBA team, serving our industry and providing resources to our membership that enable them to serve their customers and successfully grow,” says Atkins.

Atkins comes to IDDBA with more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications. Her most recent role was communications manager for the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. There, she played a key role in all communications, including approaches and strategies. She also oversaw all content creation for various platforms.

The majority of Atkins’ career has been with Kroger Delta Marketing in Memphis, where her positions ranged from merchandising, assistant advertising and marketing manager, loyalty analyst, and most recently customer communications and marketing specialist. At Kroger Delta, she served as a liaison among many teams to develop and communicate selling initiatives and programs for more than 100 retail grocery, pharmacy and fuel locations.

IDDBA is a nonprofit membership organization serving the dairy, deli, bakery, cheese and supermarket foodservice industries.
