ShopRite Expands Its Own-Label Wholesome Pantry Line

ShopRite is expanding its Wholesome Pantry line of organic and “better-for-you” products with options such as cookies, trail mixes, single-serve snacks, organic honey, organic juices and organic fruit preserves. The new items will roll out in the next few months.

Since launching the line in December of 2016, ShopRite has introduced about 210 products as part of its Wholesome Pantry store brand line. The company reports that the new line has been one of the fastest growing private label lines ever launched in the supermarket’s 70-year history.

Wholesome PantryWholesome Pantry OrganicThe Wholesome Pantry line consists of USDA-certified organic items as well as “free-from” products made with simple, clean ingredients without artificial additives, flavors, colors and preservatives.

“We’re excited about the expansion of our Wholesome Pantry line, as it demonstrates our unwavering commitment to helping customers find ‘better-for-you’ products that fit their budgets and their lifestyles,” said Natalie Menza-Crowe, RD, MS, director of health and wellness at ShopRite. “When it comes to their personal health and wellness goals, we want our shoppers to feel empowered, inspired and excited about the large array of healthy options that are on the shelves and available to them.”

With a full portfolio of items ranging from snacks to frozen foods to pantry staples, Wholesome Pantry offerings extend across the store, with products such as almond butter, milk and alternative dairy-free milks, as well as a large assortment of fresh poultry, fresh produce, frozen fruit and packaged snacks.

“With a continued focus on value, convenience and variety, we look forward to providing our customers with even more innovative, high-quality Wholesome Pantry products in the weeks and months ahead,” said Loren Weinstein, director of private label-branding at ShopRite.
