Food City in Tempe, Arizona, is hosting a grand reopening of its remodeled store at 1845 N. Scottsdale Road on Wednesday, just in time for Cinco de Mayo. Festivities will run through Sunday.
The store includes festive décor as well as expanded product and service offerings, including:
• More than 2,000 new items;
• A new seating area at the restaurant-style deli, with more menu variety;
• A larger produce section that includes more fresh vegetables and fruits;
• An expanded bakery department, which features fresh Mexican pastries and cakes;
• An expanded carniceria with different cuts of meat, free marinades, a variety of queso fresco and an expanded seafood case;
• An aguas frescas station, which serves fresh fruit drinks; and
• A revamped check cashing service.
Food City is a banner of Bashas’ Supermarkets and caters to Arizona’s Hispanic community.
