Two Harveys customers—Charles and Mary Tinson—were joined by friends and family on Thanksgiving Day as they wed at the grocer’s Albany, Georgia, supermarket—the exact location where they reconnected four years ago on Thanksgiving Day.

On Thanksgiving Day 2012, after returning home from a tour in Afghanistan, Charles walked into Harveys Supermarket at 1032 W. Gordon Avenue in Albany to buy a Thanksgiving favorite—cranberry sauce. But Charles found more than just his favorite cranberry sauce in Harveys that holiday.

As he left the cranberry sauce aisle to checkout, he laid his eyes on Mary, a joyful woman who he had known from years past but had not seen in quite some time. As Charles approached Mary she began to speak and welcomed him home with an embracing hug.

After four years of dating, the couple decided that there was no better place to wed than on the same holiday and in the same place where they first found each other once again—Harveys Supermarket.
