Food Bazaar Supermarket—a privately-owned, New York City-based company—continues to grow with the opening of two New Jersey stores—one in North Bergen and another in Fairview. These openings follow store debuts in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Long Island and the Bronx.

The new locations each feature a full-service seafood department, custom-cutting meat department, bakery, deli counter, exotic produce offerings and extensive international aisles.Food Bazaar

Parent company Bogopa has grown to 24 full-service supermarkets in the tri-state metropolitan area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) under the name Food Bazaar. Bogopa, which means “Yearning for You” in Korean, opened its first company store in 1988 after seeing a need for access to a variety of authentic foods and flavors that mainstream supermarkets did not supply.

Company officials say they are passionate about supporting the local community. The chain regularly partners with nonprofit organizations by providing substantial food donations and hosting many community events year-round.
