The National Council of Chain Restaurants sent a letter of support to members of the U.S. House of Representatives in support of House Resolution 6094, the Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools and Non-Profits Act. This bill, which the House is expected to vote on this week, would give chain restaurants and other employers much needed time to prepare for the Labor Department’s new overtime pay regulation…

Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) announced that 24 school districts and 187 are recipients of School Breakfast Grants for the 2016-17 school year, provided through funding from Kellogg Co. Fund. The School Breakfast Grants help schools and school districts pilot or expand their National School Breakfast Programs in order to increase access to breakfast for more students…

McDonald’s might be bringing the Happy Meal to breakfast. The chain is testing breakfast Happy Meals in Tulsa. The a.m. version includes either two McGriddle cakes or an egg-and-cheese McMuffin sandwich, plus the choice of hash browns, apple slices or yogurt.
