Hostess Brands Issues Recall Of Some Snack Cakes & Doughnuts, And More…

Hostess Brands is voluntarily recalling certain snack cakes and donuts as a result of the recent recall of certain lots of flour for undeclared peanut residue. The Hostess Brands products subject to the recall were produced using the grain craft flour that has now been recalled. The recall includes single-serve snacks and doughnuts, multipack boxes and bagged doughnuts…

VERC Enterprises, with locations in eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire, has partnered with the Boston Higashi School to provide students with employment opportunities. The Higashi School is recognized for its mission to help children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder learn to reach their full potential. Several Boston Higashi students will perform tasks at VERC stores for several hours one day a week. Responsibilities will include cleaning, trash disposal, window washing and stocking coolers. A teacher from the Higashi School will accompany the students during their work hours…
