Magnum Ice Cream, the only ice cream bar made with Belgian chocolate, recently opened its doors in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City, at 134 Prince Street, marking the first storefront in the U.S. featuring the brand’s customizable ice cream bar. The Magnum New York storefront features a “dipping bar” where guests can participate in the “Make My Magnum” experience and create custom bars. In addition to the dipping bar, Magnum New York has a curated décor and furnishings. Art installations include the New York City skyline made out of wooden ice cream sticks and a collection of bejeweled Magnum bars. In addition to New York, Magnum will launch 25 pop-up stores around the world, in Paris, Lisbon, Shanghai, Istanbul and Jakarta….

The Rhode Island Hospitality Association is hosting a Women in Hospitality Forum Wednesday, June 1, from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Warwick. Four panelists will speak on empowerment, development and professional growth. They are Kristine Cox, GM of the Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina; Kimberly Greene, GM of the Renaissance Providence Hotel; Michelle Russo, founder and CEO of Hotel Asset Value Enhancement; and Vanessa Sinders, SVP of government affairs for the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
