Last updated on June 13th, 2024 at 05:07 pm

The New England Convenience Store & Energy Marketers Association (NECSEMA) has appointed Joanne Mendes executive director, according to NECSEMA President Gwen Forman, who serves as SVP of Cumberland Farms.

“Joanne brings to our organization a deep knowledge of convenience stores and the legislative process based on 20 years of experience in government affairs working for Philip Morris, Miller, Kraft and Heineken,” says Forman. “She is a New England native and much of her government affairs work was here in the New England states.”

Mendes has bachelor of arts degree in political science from Salem State and a master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk University.

She will begin her duties with NECSEMA on May 2.
