Subway To Include Calories On All U.S. Menu Boards, And More…

Subway says it will include calorie listings on menu boards across all U.S. restaurant locations in April, more than a year before the FDA enforces national menu-calorie labeling requirements. The new menu panels will be on display in all U.S. sandwich shops beginning April 11…

The National Restaurant Association (NRA) has announced six regional finalists to its upcoming Star of the Bar, part of the NRA Hotel-Motel Show on May 22 at McCormick Place in Chicago. This national cocktail competition invites the six finalists from Chicago, San Diego, Boston, Charleston, New York City and San Francisco to mix up the most innovative cocktail creation using Jägermeister. The Boston finalist is Tenzin Samdo of Trade-Boston, and the New York finalist is Matt Friedlander of Fools Gold New York City…

“Savor, A Celebration Of Wine, Food & Spirits,” presented by Foxwoods Resort Casino, will take place at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Thursday, April 7-Saturday, April 9. Regional chefs for this three-day event showcasing the best of the New England culinary scene will join host chef Robert Irvine of Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible.” A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Robert Irvine Foundation, a nonprofit organization honoring the men and women defending the U.S.
