Alliance Cost Containment (ACC) of Kentucky has created a cost reduction program targeting the retail grocery and convenience store industry. Working under the name C-Store Savings, this new entity offers chains with 10 or more locations two distinct ways to reduce day-to-day operating costs.
The group savings option provides pre-negotiated savings on more than 30 expense areas, including energy, waste disposal, credit/debit card processing and pest control. These program discounts are available to interested chains with all fees covered by participating suppliers. Savings typically amount to 10 to 25 percent compared to clients’ current prices, according to ACC.
The custom cost reduction option offers unique bidding events for specific expense areas. In this scenario, ACC typically delivers reduced operating expenses in the 15 to 40 percent range. Through this option, the client company and ACC share proven savings accrued over a 24-month period.
“C-Store Savings was created to build the bottom lines of convenience stores and small grocery chains through affordable, easy-to-use cost reduction programs,” said Miles Lee, CEO of ACC. “It is entirely possible for chains to realize added net profit of $5,000 per store per year using these programs.”
