Boston city health officials cleared Chipotle Mexican Grille’s Cleveland Circler location to open Dec. 28 after a water leak delayed plans to reopen earlier. The location had been shut down since Dec. 7 after a norovirus outbreak infected more than 140 people, mostly college students from nearby Boston College. The newly renamed Northeast chapter of Foodservice Consultants Society International recently donated $15,000 to the Massachusetts nonprofit Community Servings. Held at Davio’s in downtown Boston, a sold-out event for the cause was attended by more than 100 industry colleagues and guests from the New England area and abroad. Community Servings is a food and nutrition program that provides services throughout Massachusetts to people and families who are living with critical and chronic illnesses.
