Georgia Independent Retailer Seminars Sept. 29 And 30

The Georgia Food Industry Association (GFIA) will host two free independent retailer seminars next week.

Attendees can learn about new wage and hour regulations, as well as the state WIC program. Labor attorney Carla Gunnin of the Jackson Lewis law firm will join in the conversation.

The South Georgia seminar will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Evans County Recreation Department, 11093 Highway 280 East, in Claxton. A tour will follow at Claxton Poultry Farms at 8816 U.S. 301. The North Georgia seminar will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at United Distributors Inc., 5500 United Drive SE, in Smyrna. Lunch will be provided at both seminars.
