QuickChek Launches Q Cafe At Balloon Festival, And More…

Whitehouse, New Jersey-based QuickChek has maximized its extensive involvement with the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning to build its brand and introduce new menu items. QuickChek is launching its new Q Café at the three-day festival, July 24-26. At the festival site—Solberg Airport in Readington, New Jersey—the café will offer nearly 40 varieties of handcrafted hot and iced drinks, including fresh-brewed cappuccinos, lattes and espressos; blended-to-order fruit smoothies; and frozen chocolate treats…

U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut has introduced legislation that would eliminate what she calls a “distressing loophole in federal law” that allows underage smokers to purchase e-cigarette products without verifying their age when ordered online or by phone. DeLauro called for limiting minors’ access to e-cigarettes through a new bill, the “Stop Tobacco Sales to Youth Act of 2015.” Co-sponsored by fellow Connecticut Rep. Elizabeth Esty, the legislation would require every state to prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes to minors and require proof of age at purchase and delivery for all online or telephone sales…

Rutter’s of York, Pennsylvania, will use two new corporate giving programs, Vote with Your Dollars and Rutter’s Rewards Schools, to continue its financial support of local children’s charities. Vote with Your Dollars and Rutter’s Rewards Schools will be funded with $100,000 raised at Rutter’s Children’s Charities’ annual golf outing. Seven Central Pennsylvania charities were selected as finalists by the Rutter’s Children’s Charities donation committee to participate in the Vote with Your Dollars program this year. They are: Make a Wish Foundation, Hoffman Homes for Youth, Junior Achievement, York County Food Bank, Red Cross of South Central Pennsylvania, Chambersburg Hospital and York Country Day School.
