Bashas’ is celebrating its newly remodeled grocery store, located at 7586 W. Thunderbird Road (at 75th Avenue) in Peoria, Arizona, beginning today.
The store has a new floral department with a variety of flowers and gifts; an expanded selection of products, including more organic and healthy options; a revamped deli and bakery with ice cream by the scoop; free Wi-Fi connection; and new flooring, lighting and displays throughout. The store also features made-from-scratch bakery items, including donuts and crusty bread; a full-service butcher shop with in-house ground beef grinding every day; fresh, local and organic produce; a full-service seafood counter; and award-winning chef entrees and meals to go.
The grand opening festivities will run through Saturday and offer customers a variety of free food samples. The store is among the first in metropolitan Phoenix to offer Jimmy Fallon’s new Ben & Jerry’s “The Tonight Dough” ice cream, which will be available starting Thursday until supplies last. On Saturday, the first 200 customers to shop at the store will receive a free gift bag. Visitors also can enjoy a free slice of cake and scoop of ice cream Saturday afternoon, along with an opportunity to meet and take pictures with Miss Chiquita Banana and Centennial High School cheerleaders. Additionally, children can enjoy free face painting and bounce house activities.
