San Antonio-based Kiolbassa Provisions supplied 4,000 pounds of its flavored, slow-crafted smoked sausage—enough sausage links to stretch a mile and a half—for Gov. Greg Abbott’s inaugural festivities on Jan. 20.

“Kiolbassa is a family operated business passionate about what we do, the communities we serve and excited to serve fellow Texans and visitors alike…We are proud to be a part of this celebration and grateful to have been invited by Dallas caterer Eddie Deen to participate in this time-honored Texas tradition,” said President Michael Kiolbassa, the third-generation family member to run the company started in 1949 by his grandfather, Rufus Kiolbassa.

Kiolbassa Jalapeno Beef was served at the State Capitol grounds for the outdoor barbecue prepared by Terrell-based Deen & Co.
