Food 4 Less/Foods Co stores, a division of The Kroger Co., has reached a tentative agreement with the seven Southern California United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) locals. The agreement is fully recommended and covers more than 6,000 associates working at 100 Food 4 Less stores in SoCal.
The new agreement includes wage increases, quality, affordable healthcare and financial support from the company for employee pensions.
“We are pleased to reach an agreement that is good for our associates, who will continue to have a solid and competitive compensation package,” said Bryan Kaltenbach, president of Food 4 Less/Foods Co. “We appreciate the service our associates provide our customers and company every day.”
The UFCW locals will schedule voting meetings with their membership for ratification.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Food 4 Less/Foods Co operates 148 price-impact, warehouse-format supermarkets under the banners Food 4 Less in SoCal, Nevada, Illinois and Indiana, and Foods Co in Central and Northern California.
