Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a quick-service chicken concept, has opened inside Oakland, Calif., supermarket Gazzali’s.
Founded in 1989 in Lafayette, La., Krispy Krunchy features Cajun-style chicken fried in zero trans fat oil. Its menu also includes Cajun tenders, jambalaya, boudin bites (Cajun rice balls), catfish and honey butter biscuits. It’s pre-marinated chicken and tenders are delivered fresh and twice per week.
Gazzali’s Supermarket, located at 7000 Bancroft Ave. in Oakland, strives to provide many specialty Cajun products as well as authentic Latino goods. The store also features a bakery, food court and spirits department, along with the new Krispy Krunchy Chicken.
Gazzali’s opened in Oakland in 2004 and focuses on specialty grocery items, including Cajun food, Southern food, Mexican groceries and other specialty grocery items. The supermarket carries boudin sausage, alligator meat, turkey necks, pork steaks, hog head cheese and more in its meat market.
