Mauldin, S.C.-based Bi-Lo has updated 22 of its stores over the past year.

The newly-updated stores can be seen throughout the grocery chain’s four-state footprint in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Last month alone, BI-LO added five stores to its renovations list. Locations in Statesboro, Ga., two stores in Augusta, Ga., Greenville and Seneca, S.C., and Franklin, N.C., all were part of Bi-Lo’s redesign program in November.

BI-LO has worked on revamping its store designs and layout, as well as developing new offerings focused on quality and savings to offer its customers continued savings without sacrifice, according to the company. The updated stores include a warmer and richer color palette, as well as modern décor. Upgrades also have been made to all departments.

“BI-LO believes in offering our customers the highest possible standards and this redesign program speaks directly to that,” said BI-LO President and CEO Mike Byars. “We continually promise to offer our customers in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee the lowest prices, the freshest products and the best customer service. We’ve been able to deliver on that promise and give customers a vibrant and modern atmosphere in which to shop.”

BI-LO, founded in 1961, operates 207 supermarkets and employs approximately 17,000 people.
